The Story

This very rare book was printed by Singer for the local 4-H Club Leaders.  It is a guide used for teachers to instruct students in how to maintain, adjust, and use the family sewing machine.  In the front is a 12-page guide and quiz for the student as well!  This book is truly a treasure to have with very large instructions in the back for the Singer buttonholer and ZigZagger as well.

There are no logos printed on any of the sewing machine diagrams, but one photo clearly shows the motor of the Featherweight 221 being lubricated.

The book is 49 pages not-including the 12 page guide and quiz pinned in the front.  A very rare find and conversation piece for any collection, coffee table, or schoolroom!

This specific example includes two sewn fabric test strips showing different stitch lengths.
