Singer Featherweight 221K - EE45284* - Fully Restored in White

This 1947 Singer Featherweight 221 is absolutely gorgeous, restored in pearl white with two-tone gold/silver decals! Completely restored inside and out - this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew (or display) right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 220-volt motor that has been rewound to work at 110-voltage with optimum speed and torque. A voltage converter is not needed in the USA or Canada. This machine is from the 2nd batch of Featherweights made in the UK. When the 221 was first produced in Scotland, it was made in two small batches of just 500 machines. A unique feature of these early 221K Featherweights is the scrolled faceplate that has no scrolling on the thread guide area.

It also features the unique gold 'S' Bakelite motor.  These uncommon motors were made in the U.S.A., Canada, and Great Britain with this machine having one of the 220v Great Britain ones.

Additional Quilting Attachments can be purchased, and if you need any Fashion Aids for apparel or ornamental sewing (e.g., Buttonholer, Blind Stitcher, etc...), we will prepare samples for those as well should you decide to purchase them separately.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later.  The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.

The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate and an original, yet newly chromed needle plate. The original case includes the top tray for holding the Foot Controller.
