You can't see it, you can't reach it, and if you force the handwheel, you risk costly damage to the hook assembly. It's the single most common Featherweight emergency, and until now, the fix meant either a trip to a repair shop or carefully disassembling the hook assembly yourself.

Our Thread Jam Removal Tool changes that. We designed this tool ourselves—it's made exclusively for The Featherweight Shop and you won't find it anywhere else. Slide it over the bobbin case base post, hold the handwheel, turn clockwise until there's no resistance, and the jam clears. Six steps, a few seconds, no disassembly. The long shaft absorbs torque like a spring—so when you turn a screw that's been varnished in place with 40 years of old oil and grease, the shaft flexes until the screw breaks loose with a satisfying little snap.
