Gripper, Singer (Vintage)

Need a helping hand at your sewing table?  This Singer Gripper is also sometimes called a "Third Hand" or a "Sewing Bird". 

Only light pressure on the lever is required to set the gripper firmly on the material.  Undue pressure on the lever may damage the gripper so be careful not to push the lever down too far. 

You can use this to hold your pattern in place (keeps it from flying off the table) or to hold your fabric while you undo a seam.
